"Eliminate" or "Lose"

I'm doing surprisingly well today.  Yes it has been 4 days without  the MetaboWise Shakes, but I'm holding my own.  I'm feeling better than I have for a long time.

Okay, why "eliminate" my weight, and not "lose" weight.  It's a mind thing, and a perspective thing.  For example, when you get home from work and you drop your keys to look at the mail, or go to the bathroom, or whatever; sometime later you find you have to run to the store, or some other errand.  You want to get your keys, but you forgot where you put them.  Oh, no!  I've lost my keys!  What do you do?  You go looking for them, and you search until you find them.  The same is true with wallet's, purses gifts you've put away ahead of time for a special occasion, etc.  The point is, when you lose something, you go looking for it until you find it again.

My excess pounds are not among those things that I EVER want to have back.  I didn't "lose" this weight.  I know what happened to it and I don't,..."WON'T" go looking to find it again.

The insidious thing about gaining weight, is that it is usually a pound or two here, a pound or two there, so you are not really aware of what's happening, and how it affects you.  It kind of creeps up on you until one day you see your self in the mirror, or find aches and pains you didn't have before.  We quite naturally attribute this to getting "older".  In the same manner, weight comes off the same way, albeit slower.  Again, you tend to only notice in retrospect.

In this case, I have had such a dramatic weight reduction in a very short period, the difference in the way I feel and my ability to move about and just do things has taken me by surprise.  More to come...
